Ciao! I’m Leonardo.
I was born in Arezzo, rode my first bike when I was five and cycled for a professional team as a teenager. A few years ago, I started training a visitor to the region who fell in love with cycling in Tuscany. Each year, he invited a group of friends for a long weekend, and the dream of Biking with Leonardo was born.
Our biking club provides an authentic Tuscan biking experience. We organise all aspects of our biking tours, from the itineraries to the finer details, looking after you during your visit so you can experience Tuscan cycling and hospitality as a local.
We’re open year-round, although the best months for cycling in Tuscany are between April and October. July and August are hot, so we start early, break in the middle of the day, and resume mid-afternoon.
I’m really excited to meet you and show you some of the most beautiful rides in the world.
Please get in touch with any questions.
We’ll meet you in Monte San Savino or collect you from Arezzo (a short train ride from Florence). We can also collect you from Florence, Pisa, or Bologna airport.
You are welcome to bring your own bike. Otherwise, we can provide a racing or off-road bike adapted to your specifications. You can trust our biking club to provide a quality bike suited to the route and itinerary.
We’ll design an itinerary tailored to your experience, fitness level, timing and plans. Longer and shorter tours are available on request, complete with a biking guide, cycling sightseeing, lunch and non-cycling activities.
All tours provided by our biking club include a trained guide who will lead you along your chosen route, offering local knowledge and an immersive experience.
We’ll host you in an agriturismo with a swimming pool close to Monte San Savino or a hotel in the centre of town.
We’ll organise lunch on the road and dinner at your agriturismo or a restaurant in Monte San Savino.
If you want to bring a non-cycling companion, we can organise various trips and experiences to give them the most from their visit, including:
In addition to our year-round cycling sightseeing tours, our biking club organises special trips around the Palio di Siena on July 2 and August 16 (including tickets to the legendary horse race on request), and the olive harvest at the end of October and early November. This is a magical time in Tuscany where you can pick olives, get a guided tour from a local olive oil maker, taste the freshest, best olive oil in the world, and dine in the midst of olive groves.
